handmade between 1940 and 1950, Mario uses his famous furry technique, which consists of weaving silver threads over an initial structure that acts as the animal's body. In this way Mario could recreate the effect of the animal's fur, giving dynamism and realism to his creations. This is among his rarest creations, as there are only 2 examples in the world, the other is found in a museum in the USA.

This large tray was a creation commissioned by an Italian ambassador who worked abroad, as the monogram in the center can testify. Made entirely by hand, always decorated with distinctive elements by Mario Buccellati, such as bunches of grapes and leaves. The tray is placed on a wooden stand, thanks to an interlocking mechanism. All this makes this piece a one-of-a-kind object.
